Editorial Review for Greek Souvlaki No. 1 – by Peter Behle
The Scene
It's your typical fast-food joint--with plenty of room to sit down and watch the 3rd South traffic go by.
The Food
This is Greek food the way you'd find it in Athens. If you want a real meal, go for either a souvlaki plate or a gyro plate--both come with a salad (ask for Greek dressing), fries and a staggering amount of pilafi (lemon-buttered rice). Souvlaki is traditionally made with pork, but chicken is offered here as well. If you want meat and potatoes, go for the double souvlaki, double chicken or the chicken and pork. Seeking something different? Try the Greek spaghetti. It's not what you're used to--there's less tomato sauce and a hint of cinnamon. The Greek salad is loaded with feta cheese and kalamata olives.

Insider Tips
What's What?A gyro (pronounced yeero) is lamb, tomato, onions and red (tomato) or white (yogurt) sauce folded in a pita. Souvlaki is either pork or chicken, skewered with zucchini and onions, and grilled.

This restaurant is great, I always get the dolmades with extra lemons they are excellent. Everything I have tried there is great too. But I have to agree with another persons review on here that they're fry sauce is a must :)
Pros: Great service, excellent food, friendly
Cons: parking

You would be hard pressed to find a better Greek restaurant than Greek Soulaki. Their gryos are amazing and they have the best fries and fry sauce I have ever tasted. I am so hungry for greek I can hardly stand it!
